Luis Miguel Polares Pessoa Maduro, Nascido em 1967; licenciado em Direito (Universidade de Lisboa, 1990); professor assistente (Instituto Universitário Europeu, 1991); doutor em Direito (Instituto Universitário Europeu de Florença, 1996); professor visitante (Colégio da Europa, Natolin; Instituto Ortega y Gasset, Madri; Universidade Católica, em Portugal; Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau), professor (Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, 1997); Visitar Investigação Fulbright Scholar (Harvard University, 1998); co-diretor da Academia de International Trade Law; co-editor (Hart Series on European Law and Integration, European Law Journal) e membro do conselho editorial de várias revistas lei; advogado-geral no Tribunal de Justiça desde 7 de Outubro de 2003.

Luís Miguel Poiares Pessoa Maduro é professor de Direito Internacional e Europeu da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, e externos Professor do Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau, o Colégio da Europa (Natolin), eo Instituto Ortega y Gasset (Madri ). He is a Doctor in Law of the European University Institute having earned the Row and Maw Prize and the Prize Obiettivo Europa (best Doctoral Thesis of the EUI). Professor Maduro is the author of We The Court - The European Court of Justice and the European Economic Constitution (Oxford, Hart Publishing, 1998).
